Robert Rehnig
Robert Rehnig, born in 1977 and based in Leipzig, works in the fields of sound art and electroacoustic music. He studied piano with Josef Christof at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” as well as electroacoustic composition with Robin Minard at the Hochschule für Musik “Franz Liszt” in Weimar and with Kevin Austin and Mark Corwin as visiting student at the Concordia University in Montreal. Works were presented in the last years at (selection): Künstlerhaus Wien – sound:frame festival (Vienna/Austria), Patarei (Tallinn/Estonia), Westwerk (Leipzig/Germany), Harvest Moon Festival (Montreal/Canada), Singuhr Hörgalerie (Berlin/Germany) and Projektzentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst “Motorenhalle” (Dresde/! Germany). He is member of the CEC (Canadian Electroacoustic Community) and of the theater company “erweiterte zugeständnisse” (Leipzig/Vienna). Since 2008 he collaborates as guest with the electroacoustic improvisation ensemble HKM+. In 2009 together with other artists he launched the cross genre studio AVA workspace.
